Life often presents moments that stir fear, uncertainty, and doubt. In those moments, this verse reminds us that God Himself is our light — the One who gives clarity when the path feels dark and confusing. When we remember that the Lord is our salvation, fear begins to lose its grip. No challenge, opposition, or unknown future is greater than His presence with us.
The psalmist also declares that the Lord is the strength of his life. This means we are not relying on our own courage or ability to endure; we are upheld by God’s power. When our strength feels small and our confidence weak, God remains steady and unchanging. Trusting in Him allows us to move forward with peace, even when circumstances remain unresolved.
Prayer
Lord, my light and my salvation, I thank You for being my constant source of strength and hope. When fear rises in my heart, help me to remember that You are with me and that nothing I face is beyond Your care. Shine Your light into every uncertain place in my life and replace my fear with trust. I rest today in Your presence, confident that You are guiding and protecting me. Amen.
