Verse of the Day

Through the prophet Isaiah, God speaks a message of renewal and hope. This was declared to people who felt stuck, discouraged, and surrounded by impossible situations.

God announces, “I am doing a new thing.” This means He is not limited by the past. No matter what has happened before—failures, delays, disappointments—God has the power to start something new in your life.

The imagery is powerful: a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The wilderness represents confusion or lack of direction, while the wasteland represents dryness and hardship. Yet God promises to bring direction where there is none and life where things seem barren.

Sometimes, the new thing God is doing is subtle at first—“now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” This reminds us to stay spiritually sensitive and expectant. God is always at work, even when we don’t immediately see it.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You because You are doing a new thing in my life. Open my eyes to perceive what You are doing, even in small beginnings.

Make a way for me where there seems to be no way. Bring provision, direction, and breakthrough in every dry and difficult area of my life.

Help me to let go of the past and step into the new things You have prepared for me. Strengthen my faith to trust You in this new season.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
