Verse of the Day

This proverb uses a vivid image of security and protection. In ancient times, a fortified tower was a place of refuge—strong, elevated, and difficult for enemies to penetrate.

The name of the Lord” represents God’s character, power, and authority. It is not just a word—it is a place of safety for those who trust in Him.

To “run to it” means actively turning to God in times of trouble, not as a last resort, but as a first response. The promise is clear: those who trust in Him are safe—not necessarily from every challenge, but secure within His protection and care.

This verse reminds us that true safety is not found in human strength, wealth, or systems, but in God Himself. When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, you have a refuge that never fails.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being my refuge and my strong tower. In every situation, help me to run to You first.

When fear or uncertainty arises, remind me that I am safe in Your presence. Strengthen my trust in You and keep my heart anchored in Your power.

Be my protection, my defense, and my peace at all times, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
