This beautiful psalm reminds us where our confidence should rest. The writer begins with a question many people silently ask during difficult seasons: Where will my help come from?
When challenges arise, it is easy to look to human strength, resources, or circumstances for security. But the psalm redirects our attention upward—to the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
The One who created the heavens and the earth is not limited by human weakness or impossible situations. If God made the universe, He is fully able to help, guide, provide, and sustain you.
This verse is an invitation to shift your focus from the size of your problems to the greatness of your Helper. Your help does not come from chance, luck, or human effort alone—it comes from God.
No matter what you face today, you are not facing it by yourself. The God who created all things is actively watching over you.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, today I lift my eyes toward You and place my trust in You alone. Thank You for being my help, my strength, and my source.
When I feel overwhelmed, remind me that You are greater than every challenge before me. Help me not to rely on fear or human understanding, but to rest confidently in Your power and faithfulness.
Lead me, strengthen me, and help me today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
