The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has issued a statement denying reports that it opposes the tax reform bills proposed by President Bola Tinubu.
In response to claims suggesting that the commission was against the legislation, RMAFC Chairman Dr. Mohammed Shehu described these allegations as "false." He emphasized that the commission fully supports the reforms aimed at improving Nigeria's revenue framework.
Dr. Shehu stated that RMAFC has been actively involved in the reform process, having submitted a memorandum that aligns with global best practices. He urged the public to disregard any misinformation regarding the commission's position on the proposed tax legislation.
