An eight-year-old boy, Tinotenda Pudu, has been found alive after an astonishing five-day ordeal in the lion-inhabited Matusadona Game Park in Zimbabwe. The boy wandered 23 kilometers from his home, entering the perilous wildlife reserve known for its high density of lions and elephants.
During his time in the park, Tinotenda slept on rocky ledges while surrounded by roaring lions and passing elephants. He managed to sustain himself by eating wild fruits and digging small wells in dry riverbeds to access drinking water, skills he learned from living in a drought-prone area. Community members organized search efforts, beating drums nightly to guide him back home.
On the fifth day, Tinotenda heard a ranger's vehicle and ran towards it. Fortunately, park rangers noticed fresh footprints and resumed their search, ultimately locating him. Tinotenda was found weak but alive and required medical attention, including fluids for recovery.
Local MP Mutsa Murombedzi expressed gratitude for the community's efforts and the rangers' bravery, stating that Tinotenda's survival showcases resilience and unity in adversity.
