The Ogun State government will temporarily close the Olumo Rock Tourist Centre in Abeokuta starting April 14 for renovation. According to Mr. Sesan Fagbayi, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in the state, the renovation is intended to improve tourism and preserve cultural assets in the state.

Fagbayi stated that the development is part of a larger commitment to revitalizing one of the most well-known tourist destinations. He gave assurances that the renovation would enhance the experiences of visitors and put safety precautions in place.

Olumo Rock receives over 70,000 visitors each year, according to Fagbayi, who added that this necessitates a suitable outlook. He apologized to tourists and the general public for any inconvenience the development may cause and promised to provide updates as work progresses.
