President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently working remotely from Europe, continuing to oversee the affairs of Nigeria’s government despite his temporary absence from the country. According to Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Tinubu traveled from Paris to London and remains fully engaged with his administration through regular communication with key officials.
Onanuga emphasized that the President’s absence is part of a planned short-term trip and that governance in Nigeria continues seamlessly. “President Tinubu has been issuing directives to security chiefs and other government agencies to address emerging challenges across the country,” he said.
The Special Adviser reassured Nigerians that the President’s physical absence does not affect the day-to-day running of government operations. Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja and resume his duties at the Presidential Villa after the Easter holidays, specifically on Monday, April 21, 2025.
