Senator Adams Oshiomhole, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that President Bola Tinubu inherited a “badly mismanaged” Nigerian economy when he assumed office. Oshiomhole made the remarks on Tuesday during an appearance on Politics Today, a popular programme on Channels Television.
Addressing questions about the state of the nation’s economy, Oshiomhole acknowledged the severe challenges the current administration faces. He emphasized that the economic difficulties were not created by President Tinubu but were inherited from previous governments.
“Truly, the economy was badly mismanaged,” Oshiomhole said. He further explained that it would be unrealistic to expect Tinubu to have fixed the deep-rooted economic problems within just 24 months of his administration.
Oshiomhole urged Nigerians to be patient, expressing optimism that “the worst is over for Nigerians” as the government implements reforms aimed at stabilizing and growing the economy.
