Verse of the Day
Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
This verse is one of the most comforting promises in Scripture. It reminds us that the presence of God is the greatest antidote to fear. The words “Fear thou not” are not a suggestion—they are a divine command anchored in God’s character and faithfulness.
God speaks directly to His people, assuring them that His companionship is constant: “I am with thee.” Fear often arises when we feel alone, uncertain, or powerless. But God’s presence changes everything. When the Almighty walks beside you, even in the valley of shadows, fear loses its grip.
Then comes another reassurance: “Be not dismayed; for I am thy God.” Here, God is not merely offering comfort—He is reaffirming relationship. He is not a distant deity; He is your God, personally invested in your life. His covenant love means He will never abandon you.
The verse continues with a threefold promise:
- “I will strengthen thee” — When your own strength fails, His divine power renews you from within.
- “I will help thee” — God steps into your situation to provide direction, provision, and peace.
- “I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” — His mighty hand represents authority, protection, and justice. He will not only keep you from falling but also lift you up above your trials.
This verse teaches that God’s help is not passive—it’s active, powerful, and personal. He strengthens your spirit when you’re weak, surrounds you with His presence when you’re afraid, and upholds you when life feels too heavy to bear.
So today, let these words anchor your soul: you are not forgotten, not forsaken, and not fighting alone. The same God who promised this to Israel promises it to you. His right hand—strong, righteous, and faithful—will carry you through every storm.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your presence that drives away fear. Strengthen me with Your power, steady me with Your peace, and help me to walk confidently, knowing that You are always with me. Amen.
