Galatians 2:20 speaks of a transformed life. Paul describes a spiritual reality—dying to the old self and living a new life through Christ. To be “crucified with Christ” means our former identity, driven by sin and self-centeredness, no longer defines us. Instead, Christ lives within us. This is not self-improvement; it is spiritual renewal. Our strength, purpose, and direction now flow from Him.
The verse also highlights the personal nature of Christ’s love: “who loved me, and gave himself for me.” This is not a distant or general love—it is intimate and sacrificial. Because He gave Himself for us, we now live by faith in Him. Each day becomes an opportunity to reflect His life in our actions, decisions, and attitudes. Our confidence is rooted not in who we were, but in who we are in Christ.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me and giving Yourself for me. Help me to live each day aware that my life is hidden in You. Teach me to surrender my old ways and allow Your Spirit to shape my thoughts and actions. Strengthen my faith so that I may walk confidently, knowing You live within me. May my life reflect Your love, grace, and truth in all that I do. Amen.
