It may not always change our surroundings immediately, but it changes our hearts within them. His peace steadies our thoughts, calms our fears, and anchors us in the assurance that He is present and in control.
The closing words, “The Lord be with you all,” deepen that promise. Peace flows from presence. When we know that the Lord is with us—guiding, strengthening, comforting—our hearts can rest. His nearness becomes our assurance. No matter what surrounds us, His presence anchors us, and His peace steadies us.

Lord of peace, thank You that You are the source of true and lasting calm for my heart. In every situation I face, let Your peace rule within me. When circumstances are uncertain, remind me that You are near. Let Your presence bring comfort where there is anxiety and confidence where there is fear.
