President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu have issued a joint tribute to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), describing him as a "spiritual fortress" for the nation as he celebrates his 84th birthday on March 2, 2026.
In an official statement released by the State House on Sunday, the President lauded the renowned clergyman for his decades of service, highlighting his influence in areas far beyond religious ministry. The tribute specifically acknowledged Adeboye’s contributions to healthcare, education, and economic empowerment, characterising him as one of Nigeria’s "greatest gifts".
"His humility is genuine, and his wisdom runs deep beyond the ordinary," the statement read. The First Family further commended Adeboye’s "patriotic zeal" and his unceasing prayers for the progress and stability of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
President Tinubu and the First Lady concluded their message by praying for continued "health and strength" for the cleric as he continues his work in the "Lord's vineyard".
