The long-awaited all-British heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua has been officially confirmed.
The historic clash is scheduled for Friday, December 11, 2026, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, ending over 15 years of failed negotiations and trash talk.
The announcement was made by Saudi boxing powerbroker Turki Alalshikh, who confirmed the UK will host the mega-fight. The event will be co-promoted by The Ring and UFC boss Dana White, and will stream live globally on Netflix at no extra cost to subscribers.
For more than a decade, fans have demanded this fight. Both men ruled the heavyweight division, both held multiple world titles, but they never met in the ring.
Fury, "The Gypsy King" (36-2-1, 25 KOs) comes in off a win over Arslanbek Makhmudov in April, while AJ (30-4, 27 KOs) is coming off a knockout win over Jake Paul in December 2025.
Together, they bring 66 wins and 52 knockouts into one ring.
The fight was almost taken to New York's Madison Square Garden, but Joshua's camp insisted it must happen in the UK. The 80,000-capacity Principality Stadium, with its retractable roof, was chosen to host the December blockbuster.
Dana White confirmed it is a done deal: “There’s no confusion whatsoever... It’s happening. It’s done. It’s a done deal.”
The fighters are scheduled for an official joint press conference today, September 30th, in London, with undercard details to be announced in the coming weeks.
