Verse of the Day

“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.”— Lamentations 3:25 (KJV)

Waiting is not always easy. Sometimes, you pray for a breakthrough, work hard toward a goal, or hope for a new opportunity, yet the results seem slow in coming. During such moments, it can be tempting to become discouraged or question whether your efforts will ever bear fruit.

Lamentations 3:25 reminds us that waiting on God is not wasted time. It is an opportunity to deepen our relationship with Him, strengthen our faith, and develop the patience and wisdom needed for the journey ahead.

Waiting on God does not mean becoming passive or abandoning your responsibilities. It means continuing to do what is right while trusting Him with the outcome. You can learn new skills, pursue worthwhile opportunities, improve your decisions, and remain diligent without allowing anxiety to control your heart.

God's goodness is not limited to the moment when your prayers are answered. His goodness is also present in the strength He gives you today, the wisdom He develops within you, and the hope that sustains you through uncertainty.

Whatever you are trusting God for today, do not let a delay convince you that your life has lost its purpose. Continue seeking Him, remain faithful in your responsibilities, and take the next wise step.

Your season of waiting can still be a season of growth, preparation, and meaningful progress.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You because You are good, faithful, and full of mercy. Thank You for hearing my prayers and sustaining me through every season of my life.

Lord, teach me to wait upon You with confidence rather than fear. When answers seem delayed, strengthen my heart. When I become discouraged, renew my hope. When I am uncertain about the future, guide me with Your wisdom.

Father, I commit my work, finances, aspirations, relationships, and future into Your hands. Lead me to opportunities that align with Your good purposes. Bless the work of my hands, help me make wise decisions, and give me the discipline to prepare faithfully for the things I desire to accomplish.

Deliver me from impatience, comparison, and the temptation to take shortcuts that compromise my integrity. Help me recognise the difference between a door I should pursue and a path I should leave behind.

Let this season produce maturity, wisdom, courage, and a deeper knowledge of Your love. Give me peace while I wait and gratitude for the blessings I already enjoy.

I trust Your goodness today, tomorrow, and throughout my life. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
