This verse confronts doubt with divine possibility. Spoken at a moment when human logic said the promise was impossible, God’s question cuts straight to the heart of faith: Is anything too hard for the Lord? Age, delay, and circumstance had all spoken against Sarah’s hope, yet God reminded Abraham that His power is not limited by natural conditions or past disappointments.
God also emphasises timing. “At the time appointed…” reminds us that delay is not denial. God works according to His perfect schedule, not ours. What seems late to us is often precisely on time in His plan. When God speaks a promise, He also controls the moment of its fulfilment.
This verse invites you to re-examine the areas where you may have quietly settled into unbelief. The same God who opened Sarah’s womb can open closed doors, restore lost joy, revive forgotten dreams, and bring life where things appear barren. Faith is not pretending the challenge doesn’t exist; faith is choosing to believe that God is greater than it.

Almighty God, I bring before You every situation that feels impossible in my life. Where I have grown weary or doubtful, renew my faith. Remind me that nothing is too hard for You and that Your timing is perfect. Help me to trust You even when I cannot see how or when the promise will be fulfilled. I surrender my expectations to Your wisdom and rest in Your power. Thank You for being a God who brings life, hope, and fulfilment. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
