Elon Musk officially regained his standing as the world’s only dollar trillionaire on Monday after a simultaneous surge in SpaceX and Tesla shares added tens of billions of dollars to his fortune.
Forbes and Bloomberg wealth trackers estimated the entrepreneur’s net worth crossed above $1 trillion following morning trading, extending his lead over second-place Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who trails at approximately $371.5 billion.
The rapid ascent was sparked by double-barreled momentum across Musk’s two flagship public enterprises. Tesla shares pushed higher after the electric automaker reported third-quarter vehicle delivery numbers that surpassed Wall Street consensus estimates, while SpaceX jumped more than 7% to reach $171.09, touching its strongest trading levels since mid-June.
Musk originally shattered records as the first trillionaire in global history in June 2026 after SpaceX launched its initial public offering on the Nasdaq, lifting his net worth to peak levels before market volatility pulled him below the 13-figure milestone for the late summer.
The latest trading leaves SpaceX valued at roughly $2.32 trillion and Tesla at approximately $1.50 trillion, reinforcing Musk's unprecedented concentration of global equity wealth heading into the final quarter of the year.
