Verse of the Day

Nahum 1:7 is a gentle but powerful reminder of God’s character. In a world where troubles can arise suddenly, this verse points us to a secure refuge: “The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble.” A stronghold is a place of protection and safety. When life feels overwhelming, God Himself becomes our shelter. His goodness assures us that we are not running to someone distant or indifferent, but to a loving and faithful protector.

The verse also says that God knows those who trust in Him. This knowledge is personal and intimate. God sees our faith, even when it is quiet or fragile. He understands our struggles and recognizes every heart that turns to Him for refuge. Trusting in God does not mean trouble will never come, but it means we are never facing it alone. His goodness surrounds us, and His presence becomes our security.

Prayer

Gracious Lord, thank You for being my refuge in times of trouble. When difficulties arise, help me to run to You and trust in Your goodness. Remind me that You know me personally and care deeply about my life. Strengthen my faith when I feel uncertain, and surround me with Your peace and protection. May my heart always find its rest and safety in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
