Verse of the Day

Through the prophet Jeremiah, God reveals a key to a stable and fruitful life: placing your trust and confidence in the Lord.

The world often encourages us to put our confidence in our abilities, resources, connections, or circumstances. While these things have their place, they are limited and can change unexpectedly. God, however, remains constant, faithful, and dependable.

This verse does not merely say that the person who trusts God will survive; it says that person is blessed. Biblical blessing is more than material provision—it includes God's favour, peace, guidance, strength, and presence.

The distinction between trust and confidence is important. Trust is choosing to rely on God, while confidence is the settled assurance that He will come through. When both are rooted in God, fear loses its grip and faith grows stronger.

The verses that follow compare such a person to a tree planted by water—strong, fruitful, and resilient even in difficult seasons. When your confidence is in God, external conditions do not determine your stability.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being worthy of my trust and confidence. Help me to depend on You completely and not lean on my own understanding.

When challenges arise, strengthen my faith and remind me that You are faithful to Your promises. Let my confidence remain firmly rooted in You, regardless of what I see around me.

Make my life fruitful, stable, and strong as I trust in You. May I continually experience the blessing that comes from relying on Your unfailing love, in Jesus' name, Amen.
